Joey Izzo's films span the experimental, fiction, and documentary space. His most recent short, a documentary called You’ve Never Been Completely Honest, premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, followed by a screening at True/False Film Festival. A television series based on Izzo’s short is in development with A24 and Brain Dead Studios. Izzo’s first film, Bare Room, made in collaboration with esteemed composer John Zorn, premiered at The New York Film Festival. The following year his short film, Stepsister, was a Cannes Cinéfondation Official Selection.

In addition to film work, Joey Izzo has produced documentary podcasts for the Academy of Motion Pictures. Recent highlights would include a 5-part podcast series on the making of The Blair Witch Project and The Art of Documentary hosted by Jim Lebrecht.
